A while back I posted about a fishing trip that I would be helping lead hosted by Pack & Paddle. John Williams, the store’s owner, was the other leader and we were to be fishing out of the “red gate” in Bayou Dularge.
The day before the trip, John wasn’t feeling very well and asked our friend, Scott Bienvenu to take his place. So after discussing the situation with Scott, we decided to relocate the trip, since neither of us had fished “red gate” before. We decided to head to Cocodrie and figured that would give our group the best chance at catching some reds. It did, and everyone caught fish! I caught three myself in between trying to help out the less experienced guys! There were even moments when we just stopped to watch the many reds with their backs completely out of the water, eyeballs dry, searching for food. It was awesome!
Here are some photos from the trip!
