As it tends to be this time of year, it’s been busy. I have squeezed some fishing in but not very much. I’ve had some photos waiting to be posted for a little while, and now seems like a good time to do a quick recap in pictures.
Over the summer I took my sister, Anna, kayaking for the first time. We went to Stephensville, which is just north of Morgan City and paddled Bayou Magazelle. She enjoyed it so much that when Pack & Paddle got in their new 2015 Jackson shipment, Anna decided to buy a Cruise! She and I took her boat out for the first time on the Bayou Teche in Franklin, my hometown. We had a great chance hanging out, talking and checking out the backs of some of the old plantation homes along the Teche. Most of those old homes were built with their facades facing the waterways so we were actually seeing the fronts of these houses.
More recently, most of my fishing has been targeting Speckled Trout at Cypremort Point. This past week saw a couple of days with favorable winds, but not so favorable tides. Even still, a few fish were caught but it was slow.
Great pictures. Normally I just want to fish, but that’s a very scenic location.
